Koch Brothers’ Pipeline Leaks 17,000 Gallons of Oil in South Texas

A Koch Brothers’ pipe leaked 400 barrels of oil into an area near Smithville, Texas this week. The spill spewed around 17,000 gallons of crude, and although it has been contained the cause remains unclear. The Texas spill follows a larger spill in North Dakota last month that emptied 20,000 barrels of oil into a field and adjacent ponds.
